Conducted and led research projects in privacy, behavioral biometrics, and user-centered security, resulting in multiple peer-reviewed publications.
Designed and implemented user studies across various ubiquitous computing environments.
Provided teaching support and supervision for HCI and Usable Security courses, mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.
Part of the Scalable Interaction Paradigms for Pervasive Computing Environments project, funded by the German Research Foundation (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft DFG).
Investigated biometric-based user identification in dynamic, multi-user smart environments.
Contributed to project design, study implementation, and academic dissemination.
I have co-supervised 10+ Bachelor’s and Master’s theses at the University of Duisburg-Essen and the German University in Cairo. These projects explored themes such as usable privacy, shoulder surfing and observational attacks, behavior-based identification, and secure interaction in both real and virtual ubiquitous environments.
